Welcome back to the Wolds Equine Sports Massage Approved Courses Blog

We’re pleased to be returning with regular posts on the Wolds Equine Sports Massage Approved Courses blog. This refreshed space is dedicated to learning, professional development, and best practice in equine sports massage, supported by anatomy, therapy, and real-world experience.

Our mission is to develop knowledgeable, confident therapists who understand not just how to apply techniques, but why they are using them. Massage and therapy are most effective when guided by a clear understanding of equine anatomy, biomechanics, and the individual horse in front of you. This blog is an extension of that educational approach.

Each week, you can expect practical and accessible content to support your learning journey. We’ll be sharing anatomy insights, massage and therapy tips, real demonstrations, graduate interviews, case discussions, and Muscle of the Month features that help bring theory to life. Whether you are considering training, currently studying, or continuing your professional development, this blog is designed to be a useful and trusted resource.

Much of the knowledge shared here is underpinned by the forthcoming equine anatomy book, written in collaboration with KM Equine Services. The book has been developed to support students and practitioners, as well as owners, vets, and anyone else who loves learning, by translating complex anatomy into clear, practical understanding that can be seen and felt in the living horse. It will form a reference point for many future blogs, demonstrations, and teaching discussions.

The equine anatomy book is currently available to pre-order: https://www.kmequine.co.uk/s/shop

This marks the beginning of a renewed weekly series focused on learning, curiosity, and improving equine welfare through informed practice. We’re glad to have you with us as we move forward together.

Best wishes,
Olivia
